I am Bronwyn Mary Wauchope
Hello, I’m Bronwyn Mary Wauchope, an artist living in a beautiful beachside suburb of Adelaide, South Australia.
I love colour bold, expressive, alive and soft pastels, their velvetiness, their immediacy and their ability to capture light, movement, and feeling. Colour speaks where words fall short.
When painting I become completely absorbed. With a palette of vibrant colour before me and my favourite podcasts playing softly in the background, I enter a space of calm and deep focus the world quiets and the chaos stills. My Christian faith is a constant source of inspiration. It shapes how I see the beauty of creation, of hope, and of meaning, even in a world marked by turmoil and conflict. Painting becomes a place of both prayer and refuge; a way to step aside from the noise and rediscover peace.
I primarily work with professional grade acrylics using Australian made Jo Sonja© and Golden© paints to bring depth and vibrancy to my pieces.
Unlike Goldilocks, I’m not searching for ‘just right’ when it comes to size. I love working with large canvasses for the drama they hold, but I also find joy in painting miniatures, where small spaces can speak volumes.
2025 proved to be a breakthrough year for me and my art due to a successful exhibition at the SALA Festival.
In October 2026 I will be exhibiting alongside five fellow South Australian artists in a group exhibition titled “Breaking the Silence”. This exhibition aims to raise awareness to suicide prevention and will be held at the Christadelphian Hall in Hyde Park, Adelaide.
Thank you for visiting my space. I invite you to explore my work and experience the colour and stillness, and the hope that inspires me.
